Our Managing Partner, Todd Tuthill, is an aerospace and defense industry executive. He spent decades leading complex global aerospace organizations and programs, working for or with the most respected aerospace and defense companies in the world.
Throughout his career, he learned that experience saves time, reduces risk, and accelerates results. That experience shaped the way he leads and how Rincon Aerospace serves its clients today.

Aerospace Leadership
Rincon Aerospace is built on more than 30 years of hands-on and executive level aerospace and defense experience. Founder and Managing Partner Todd Tuthill has led engineering teams, global strategies, and full-program executions from concept to certification to combat deployment.
Over the course of his career, Todd or the teams he led developed and/or certified control systems for 26 different airframes that successfully reached first flight. His career spans defense and commercial programs, including fixed-wing, rotary-wing, unmanned, missile, and space systems. He’s been involved in every phase of the aerospace lifecycle — from proposal and concept design to detailed design, test, verification, manufacturing, and supporting aircraft deployed in Operation Desert Storm.

Executive Level Aerospace Experience

As Vice President of Aerospace and Defense at Siemens, Todd led worldwide strategy, shaping product roadmaps, acquisitions, and partnerships. He served as the bridge between Siemens’ development teams and the real-world needs of aerospace and defense customers — ensuring tools and technology aligned with the industry’s most complex challenges.

At Raytheon Missiles & Defense, Todd served as Associate Director of Engineering in the Electrical Products Directorate, leading a 100+ person department responsible for RF guidance systems across missile and land warfare products.
He was also part of an engineering leadership team overseeing 2,500 engineers supporting a $4.5B annual portfolio of defense programs.

As Director of Engineering at Moog, Todd led a global team of more than 300 engineers designing flight-critical actuation and control systems for major commercial and fighter aircraft platforms.
He also guided Moog’s Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) transformations — modernizing how complex aerospace systems are designed and certified.

Todd spearheaded Moog’s first model-based certification of a commercial aircraft control system and led the company’s initial transition from traditional waterfall development to lean-agile systems engineering. His work continues to influence how aerospace companies execute faster, more reliable, and more efficient programs today.
